Alex' 6 mo doc visit / Alex' 6 Monats Besuch beim Arzt

Gestern war unsere Alex beim Arzt zu ihrem regulaeren 6 Monats Besuch bei ihrem Kinderarzt. Sie wurde wie immer gewogen und gemessen und leider auch gepiekt, da sie Impfungen bekommen hat :-( Die arme hat freilich furchtbar geschrien und die Traenen sind nur so die dicken Backen runtergekullert. Sie ist 69 cm lang und 8.2 kg schwer. Fuer beide Messungen befindet sich Alex im 90. Prozentil, das heisst also das 10 % aller Babies, die 6 Monate alt sind schwerer und laenger sind als sie. Das heisst also auch, dass die Alex recht lang und schwer ist. Aber die Aerztin ist sehr zufrieden mit Alex - vor allem da die Alex ganz alleine auf dem Behandlungstisch gesessen hat. Sie war sehr beeindruckt!
Yesterday was 6 mo check up for our Alex. She got measured and unfortunately also vaccinated. That is always terrible to witness. Amelie was with us and she did not want to see that either. But Alex is doing very well. Her Doctor was very happy with her progress especially since Alex was sitting all by herself for the longest time. Alex is now 27" long and 18 pounds heavy, which puts her in the 90th %ile for both length and weight. So we have a long and heavy baby on our hands. The next visit will be for her 9th month check up and this one will be easy since this won't involve any vaccinations.
