Halloween Fun at the Boo-tanical Garden

Today we went to the Halloween Party at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. It was just really nice with lots of decorations, a folksy band, treats, candy, apple cider and life creatures. The best part was that it was not too crowded. It was just all around a really nice evening. The pictures below tell the story.
Heute nachmittag waren wir zu einer Halloween Party im Cleveland Botanischen Garten. Es war rundherum ein netter nachmittag / abend. Es gab Suessigkeiten, Apfelsaft, viele Dekorationen, eine Band und sogar lebende Viecher wie Spinnen und Kaefer und so - einfach nur nett. Die Bilder erzaehlen die volle Geschichte:

Germany 2009 - Binz - day 2

Here I announced day two and it turns out that I forgot my camera for the whole day except in the evening so the following pictures are just from the evening in Binz. We went out to dinner and spent the evening strolling around on the strand promenade and enjoying everything. I will show more pictures from Shawn's camera in another blog. / Hier sage ich ganz grossmaulig 'Binz - 2. Tag' und ich musste feststellen, dass saemtliche Bilder an diesem Tag auf Shawn's Kamera gemacht wurden. Ich habe an diesem Tag meine Kamera vergessen. Die folgenden Bilder sind nur vom Abend. Wir waren Abendbrot essen und sind in Binz rumgelaufen.

Germany 2009 - Binz on the island of Ruegen

So we finally made it to Binz and the following pictures are our first day there. The apartment we stayed at belongs to our friends Ute and Thilo who live normally in Willich near Duesseldorf but they also own this place up in Binz. I am herewith thanking Ute and Thilo very much for letting us stay at their beautiful place right next to the Strand Promenade and about 20 feet from the beach and the Baltic Sea - it is the most fabulous location and a beautiful place!!! Binz has come a long way since I was last there, which was still during East German time.
Wir sind endlich in Binz den Abend zuvor angekommen und die folgenden Bilder sind von unserem ersten Tag dort. Wir haben in einem Apartment gewohnt, das zu unseren Freunden Ute und Thilo gehoert, die in der Naehe von Duesseldorf wohnen, aber auch ein Apartment in Binz haben. Das Apartment ist direkt an der Binzer Strandpromenade UND direkt neben den Strand - fabuloes!!! Binz hat sich seit meinem letzten Besuch in den 80ern unheimlich entwickelt und veraendert. Ich habe es echt nicht widererkannt.
